The Hamilton Rod & Gun Club started back in 1921 and is dedicated to giving locals a place to enjoy hunting and fishing, safely.  The present location is in Sturbridge off of New Boston Road and was land purchased in 1939.  Since then, 46 acres have been added to the property in addition to 77 acres of land in the towns of Sturbridge and Brookfield that were turned over to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to be operated by the Division of Fisheries & Games as a wildlife management area.  Hamilton Rod & Gun Club covers nearly 150 acres.  

You'll find 3 ponds stocked with trout for both seasons along with other species of fish provided year-round for your fishing adventures.  They also have two trap fields equipped with electrically operated traps, one voice-activated, and also lighted for night shooting.  The rifle range is 250 meters.  The pistol range has protected shooting stations for enjoyment anytime, rain or shine.  

If you are into Archery, their committee has one of the largest followings in the club.  In the winter months, you can enjoy an indoor archery league that shoots inside the Pavilion.
