Blog > Brookfield Trick or Treating is ON This Year
The Brookfield Police Department has shared the following regarding Halloween this year:
Trick or Treat hours have been set for 5pm to 7pm on October 31, 2020 for those who chose to participate in trick or treating this year. There will be NO parade or any type of Town sponsored activity following trick or treating this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are also not limiting trick or treat to the Village section of town and encourage residents to trick or treat in their neighborhoods this year. It is also recommended that only Brookfield residents trick or treat in Brookfield, however there will be no enforcement of this by the Police Department. Below are some tips to help keep those participating safe this year; Maintain 6 feet apart from anyone not in your household
Wear a cloth or surgical mask
Avoid groups and gatherings at doorsteps while trick or treating
Carry hand sanitizer and wash your hands before eating any treats
If you or anyone in your family isn’t feeling well, stay homeFor those handing out candy, think about having prepackaged treats placed out for families to take, leave them at the end of your walk way to maintain social distancing. For those houses that do not want trick or treaters, please leave your outside lights off as not to encourage trick or treaters to approach your door.
If you are interested in joining in the fun, please visit the town page. If you are interested in handing out candy and you are a resident in town, there is a Google document being circulated to add your name to a list being shared on Halloween Day so families know which houses are participating.
Happy Halloween Friends!
